To make the problem more understandable... split the numbers you have 4 and negative 7. so remember that it is a negative number do 7-4, to get 3. But now remember it was a negative number so it would essentially be -3.
if you don't know what I did all I did was switch the number and keep the negative in the center, then I added the negative back to the equation to get my solution.
