how did an economic system of land and service rather than money impact people's lives

An economic aystem of land gave people food,water and sources for shelter and clothes. Those resources would last forever,however money was not that much(worth) back then and if you wanted to buy something,it would not fill the peoples needs. Money is only used once,while natures resources are always used and can always be.
