Although
Freud is a default surname for Sigmund, he actually had a daughter named Anna
Freud who is known for expanding further his father’s work on psychoanalysis
(such as defense mechanisms), psychotherapy and ironically, child psychology. When
she was in Vienna, she worked together with Erik Erikson. She had standardized
her child psychology through filing, analysis, longitudinal studies and natural
experiments. She had helped psychoanalysis more scientific.
