Hornfels is a metamorphic rock that can form when a rock is subjected to high temperatures (extreme pressure ). Hornfels, which often forms when magma or lava touches other rock, is non foliated. Heat and pressure changes both igneous rocks sedimentary rocks into metamorphic rocks. hope this helps! :)
