7/3 +3(2/3 -1/3)^2 =

2/3 -1/3 = 1/3 now you have

7/3 +3(1/3)^2

1/3^2 = 1/9

7/3 +3(1/9)

3*1/9 = 1/3

7/3 + 1/3 = 8/3, which can be changed to 2 2/3
