What is the value of 2x + 11y when x = 4 and y = 2?

The answer is 30. You have to substitute your x and y value for the numbers it gives you. For example 2x would be 2 times 4.

 2x + 11y
= 
 2(4) + 11(2)
= 8 + 22
= 30
