We are given the equation:

- X – 1 = 5

Find for the value of X.

First transpose the value of -1 from left side to right side:

-X = 5 + 1

-X = 6

Dividing everything by -1:

X = - 6

Therefore a value of – 4X is:

- 4X = - 4 (- 6) = 24

Answer:

24
