the expression is
x² + xy³ / 2
where x = 4 and y = -2
putting the values of x and y in the expression we get,
4² + 4(-2)³ / 2 =16 + 4(-8) / 2
= 16 + (-32) /2
= -16/2
= -8
the value of the expression is -2
