the inverse is when you reflect the function across the identity line, y=x

to find the inverse of a function flip switch all x and y and solve for y, then replace y with f inverse

f(x)=7x-13
y=7x-13
switch
x=7y-13
solve for y
x+13=7y
(x+13)/7=y

f inverse=(x+13)/7

quantity of x plus 13 over 7
