5280ft/mile * 60 mph.
This is 316,800 feet per hour.
There are 60 minutes per hour, so 316,800 feet/60 minutes is 5,280 feet per minute.

first you have to know that there are 5280 feet in a mile so the car is going 60 miles per hour that is really 316800 feet per hour. Next since there are 60 minutes in an hour you have to divide 316800 by 60 which should get you back to 5280. Therefor you must be going 5280 feet per minute
