The rule to find the SUM of the roots of a quadratic equation is: -b/a
The rule to find the PRODUCT of the roots of a quadratic equation is: c/a
We need the sum to be -3 and the product to be 4-4/

If you go through the answer choices:
A) a = 1, b = 4, c = - 3
-b/a = -4/1 = -4 This is NOT correct
B) a = 1, b = 3, c = 4
-b/a = -3/1 = -3 This is correct
c/a = 4/1 = 4 This is also correct
