To graph on a coordinate plane you use the (x,y) points. Point (6,8) is the same as (x,y) therefore the y-coordinate is 8 and the x- coordinate is 6. The 6 would be graphed on the x-coordinate of the plane (horizontal) and the 8 would be graphed on the y-coordinate (vertical). Hope I helped!:)
