It was funny to Ponyboy that although the Greasers and the Socs are so different, they are also alike. Both of the differnt groups of people are still people. They watch the same sunsets and they breathe the same air. Althought each group struggle with different issues, in the end, they are both people and they both desire some kind of fulfillment.
