Well, we must first multiply 189.5 by 4 to know the sum of the two consecutive even integers.

[tex]189.5 * 4 = 758[/tex]

Then we divide 758 by 2 to find the middle of both numbers.

[tex]758 / 2 = 379[/tex]

Thus, 379 is in between the two even consecutive integers 378 and 380.

We should also notice that 379 is the average of 378 and 380.
