Which type of ecosystem would you expect humans to depend on the least to meet our needs for food and shelter?

An arctic cold climate we would either freeze or be unable to find food in some ways. Or a dessert climate where water is scarce and the heat would more than likely kill us if we were to far from civilization.

The answer is alpine ecosystem, due to the fact theres very little trees and it has a lot of mountains and valleys, but it's such harsh weather(snow, etc.) it'd be hard to locate food and water, along with other vital things.
