*Second: We will solve for y using x:

[tex]3x+5=x+3y\Rightarrow3(35)+5=(35)+3y\Rightarrow110=35+3y[/tex][tex]\Rightarrow75=3y\Rightarrow y=25[/tex]

So, the values of x & y that would make the quadrilateral a parallelogram are 35 & 25 respectively.
