The given triangle is a right angle triangle,

Apply the trignometry ratio of tan

[tex]\tan \emptyset=\frac{Perpendicular}{Base}[/tex]

From the given figure we have,

Perpendicular=x and base=72 and angle =40 degree

[tex]\begin{gathered} \tan 40^{\circ}=\frac{x}{72} \\ 0.839=\frac{x}{72} \\ x=0.839\times72 \\ x=60.408 \\ x=60.41 \end{gathered}[/tex]

So the value of x is 60.41
