The conversion formula from tons to pounds is;

[tex]1\text{ }US\text{ }ton=2000\text{ }pounds[/tex]

Thus, converting this to pounds, the Blue whale would weigh;

[tex]150\times2000=300,000\text{ }pounds[/tex]

Thus, the whale weighs 300,000 pounds
