The Molecular Mass for Phosphorus is 31 grames / mole.

So, 31g. P.....................1 mole
2.3g. P ..........................x mole

[tex]x= \frac{2,3}{31} = \boxed {0,07} \hbox { moles }[/tex]

1.Molar mass of phos.=30.97g/mol

2.n=m/M
     =2.3g/30.97g/mol
     =0.07mol

3. therefore the amount of moles in 2.3g of phosphorus is 0.07mol
