27 mph means they ran a mile every 60 minutes. So that means if a human ran 27mph, they ran 27 miles every 60 minutes, so 27/60 would get you to minutes. 0.45 miles per minute

Because 1 hour equals 60 minutes, you can fraction 27 miles over 1 hour, and after solving for 1 hour, the runner runs 0.45 miles per minute. I think that this is correct, but I am not 100% sure. I hope it helps
