Hello KittyCat2004!

Reactants                            Products

Na = 2 atoms                       Na = 2 atoms

H = 4 atoms                          H = 4 atoms

O = 2 atoms                          O = 2 atoms

Because there are equal numbers of Na, H and O atoms on the reactant and product side, the chemical equation is balanced.
