Area=Length x Width so you would multiply 7mm by 4mm and get the answer 28mm squared.

area of trapezoid=(1/2)(height)(base1+base2)
height=7
base1=1
base2=4
area of trapezoid=(1/2)(7)(1+4)
aera of trapezoid=(1/2)(7)(5)
aera of trapezoid=(1/2)(35)
area of trapezoid=17.5
answer is 17.5mm^2
