y - 1 = m(x - 1) . . . (1)
y = mx - m + 1 . . . (2)

From(2), -m + 1 = 2 => m = 1 - 2 = -1

Substituting for m in (1), we have:
y - 1 = -(x - 1) . . . (3)

Equation of a line in general form is given by ax + by = c

From (3), y - 1 = -x + 1
x + y = 1 + 1

Therefore, required equation is x + y = 2.
