How did “hawks” feel about and how did “doves” feel about the war?

Answer:

"Hawks" mean those who wanted war  believed that North Vietnamese aggression forced US into war  felt that US should do whatever it takes to win the war.

However, "Doves" mean those how didn't want war . Vietnam problem was a civil war  US had no right to be involved  around money spent in Vietnam better spent in domestic affairs.
