Explain how knowing that 5÷8 = 0 .625 helps you write the decimal for 4 5/8

Because now that we know what 5/8 is as a decimal, we can add the values of the 4 and the 5/8 (4 is just 4.000 by the way). We then get 4.625 as our answer.
