The answer to the statement above is FALSE. According to the Maslow's hierarchy "one must satisfy the lower level basic needs first before progressing on to meet the higher level growth". This is called the 'Progression Principle'. If the needs of the lower-level will be satisfied then it will able to progress until the highest level which is self-actualization.
