Answer:

To find the value for x you need to get x by itself

To do this we need to do the opposite of what it is showing

1.5 times x the opposite would be dividing

So we need to divide 1.5 from each side (what you do to one side you do to the other)

1.5x/1.5=x (x is now by itself)

3/1.5=2

x=2
