Let x and y be the two numbers. We have:

[tex]\begin{cases}x+y=14\\x+2y=25\end{cases}[/tex]

Subtract the first equation from the second to get

[tex]y=11[/tex]

And deduce

[tex]x+11=14 \iff x=3[/tex]

The two numbers are 3 and 11.
