A polynomial function that has roots 1 and 3 + i. The complex conjugates theorem states that must also be a (blank) root.

The complex root theorem states that if a + bi is a root of a polynomial function with a and b real numbers and b is non-zero, then its complex conjugate a − bi is also a root of the function.

if you have a root of 3+i  you must have a root of 3-i
