First I would choose devotion.  He faithfully awaits Odysseus’ return to Ithaca.  He is loyal to Odysseus and hates the suitors who continue to stay and asks for Penelope’s hand.  You can also say that he is hospitable for gave Odysseus food and drink even though he appeared to be a beggar.
