the answer is 16 because 16 plus 2 is 18 and 18 minus 4 is 14

To find the answer do the following

(p+2)-4=14

First ad like terms making the equation

p-2=14

now Add 2 resulting in

p=16

to check this replace p with 16

(16+2)-4=14
