How do we solve this?

We substitute the value of 0 instead of x

f ( 0 ) = - 7 ( 0 ) + 1

f(0) = 1

Hence, the required answer is 1

So they said find x when y = 0

0= -7x + 1
Minus 1 from both sides

-1 = -7x

Divide-7 from both sides
X = 1/7
