for a spade to be pulled from a deck of cards is 13/52 chance.


for you to pull an ace from the deck is 4/52.

Well add the two together 13/52 + 4/52 = 17/52, but subtract out the ace of spades so you don’t count it twice, so 16/52 or 30.77%
