A urinary tract infection is an
infection that occurs in any part of the urinary system such as kidneys,
ureters, bladder and urethra. The clinical manifestations of a urinary tract
infection that may be demonstrated in an 85- year-old individual is confusion
and poorly localized abdominal discomfort or otherwise the 85- year-old
individual may not experience any symptom at all.
