why are pathogens harmful

Once you are infected bacteria grow and reproduce inside the cells of your body. As they grow and divide, many bacteria make toxins. These toxins can damage your cells.

This causes damage.
Pathogens are usually what make you sick.
They can be viruses, bacteria, etc.
